Thinking About Opening Titles

Posted by Grant on July 19, 2012 in Blog, That's Interesting

All the excitement over the Dark Knight Rises release has me thinking about title sequences. For me, the title design is a big part of the movie-watching experience. It sets the stage for the rest of the film. The video below is not the official Dark Knight Rises opening title. It was a class project by motion graphics designer, Doğan Can Gündoğdu. We’ll have to wait until July 20 to see how the real one measures up. If you’re interested in learning more about title design, Art of the Title has a collection of interviews and title sequences worth checking out.
