Creating a High-Touch, Immersive Event Experience for a National Homebuilder

With an event named Elevate, expectations were sky-high. Clayton Home Building Group hosted a three-day experience designed to energize and inspire their retail partners. From the first email to the final applause, we collaborated with Clayton to build a fully immersive brand experience that matched the ambition of the event.

First Impressions Build Expectations

How do you capture the energy of a large-scale corporate event? You start with a flexible, scalable brand identity system that works across every touchpoint—from digital invitations to 20’x30’ trade show booths to event programs.

Because Elevate was catered to a very specific and discerning audience, our visual system needed to strike a balance: not too corporate, not too casual. The result? A refined-yet-warm brand theme that supported the concierge-level service at the heart of the experience.

We also developed a 15-touch email campaign that nurtured interest from start to finish. Messaging was segmented and timely: initial invites, reminders, speaker highlights, information materials, and post-event recaps. Strong CTAs and thoughtful imagery led to email engagement metrics that outperformed industry benchmarks—proof that the experience started well before attendees arrived.

Welcoming Attendees in Grand Fashion

As attendees stepped out of their vehicles, they were greeted by their personal concierge and clear, on-brand signage that transformed the venue into the world of Elevate. Colorful, layered wayfinding elements like floor decals, towers, and backdrops provided clarity while reinforcing the brand presence at every turn.

The poolside opening reception set a tone of elevated celebration. From custom table settings to illuminated signage and floating letters in the pool, every detail struck a balance between polish and playfulness.

Thoughtful Points of Engagement

In a high-touch experience like Elevate, no detail is too small. We conducted a full walkthrough of the venue to identify underutilized opportunities for delight.

At check-in, guests received branded hotel key cards, personalized name badges with built-in event agendas, and curated swag bags. The comprehensive event program featured maps, speaker bios, and breakout schedules—everything guests needed to navigate the experience with ease.

To recognize top-performing retail partners, Clayton wanted to present something memorable. Inspired by the Nashville setting, we recommended and produced custom-framed gold and platinum record awards—an unexpected and appreciated nod to Music City.

Immersive Spaces Built for Learning and Connection

The venue featured two large ballrooms—each transformed to serve a distinct purpose. One became a clean, TED-style stage for keynotes and general sessions. A minimal backdrop and oversized Elevate letters provided an iconic visual anchor, flanked by large branded screens to support speaker and event content.

The second ballroom was a fully branded trade show environment. We collaborated with the Clayton team to concept and design 12 interactive booth spaces focused on innovations, partner support, and retail resources. Highlights included: a Listening Booth for capturing real-time retailer feedback, a Swag Bar offering high-value giveaways like ON shoes and North Face gear, and a Selfie Station with hard hats utilizing event brand colors for a fun backdrop.

The centerpiece: a massive 20’ x 90’ booth simulating a deconstructed home, guiding attendees through the materials and benefits behind every Clayton Built® home.
